Our specialist tutors are available to improve learning outcomes for young people who are most in need
Edusen for Online

The demand for virtual teaching and learning has risen drastically since the Covid-19 pandemic has emerged and pupils moved over to online learning. Teachers and tutors have been able to adapt their style of teaching and incorporate the use of online whiteboards, educational quizzes, worksheets and assessments to ensure the highest quality of teaching and is taking place. Using an interactive whiteboard tutors can carry out lessons online in real time with pupils, as long as there is internet connection. These are just as effective and engaging as face to face sessions and can be carried out from any location in the world. All of our online tutors are highly experienced and are based within the United Kingdom. Tutors will plan an interactive lesson and will be trained to engage more challenging pupils. The key features of online tuition include:
Improved learning- This style of learning may be ideal for SEND pupils as the tutor can adapt the lesson instantly to meet the pupils needs, as everything is available immediately online.
Convenience & flexibility– Its much easier to find a time and a tutor to suit your needs, as you will have a wider range of brilliant tutors to choose from!
Independence and responsibility- As the tutor and pupil form a good routine, the pupil can begin to take ownership of their learning and gain some independence.
On demand– Need a tutor quickly? Wish to schedule a tutor for regular sessions? Need to ask your tutor a quick question about homework? Tutors are more contactable in between sessions as the online communication system is set up between the tutor and pupil.

Parent and Carer Information

Edusen Tuition also offers private tuition at the home of the pupil. This may be the best option for many children as they feel most comfortable in their own homes with the support of their parents or guardians nearby.
Home tuition may be a more suitable option with some SEND pupils as they may require face to face teaching and can not engage fully with online learning.
Our tutors are DBS cleared and follow strict safeguarding protocols when carrying out home visits, as the safety of students and our tutors is of utmost importance at Edusen Tuition.

School-Led Tutoring

Despite the introduction of The National Tutoring Programme (NTP), many schools are choosing to hire tutors privately due to the bureaucracy surrounding the governments high profile initiative. Schools may also be concerned with the quality of tuition being offered and are turning to private tuition companies to support their pupils.
On Thursday 2nd September 2021, the Department for Education released new guidelines in connection with the School-Led Tutoring Grant (SLTG). The SLTG will run parallel with Phase 2 of the NTP and will see up to £579m allocated to schools in grants to implement their own tuition programmes.
Our tutors can provide support to pupils within a school setting or a mixture of blended learning. Supporting pupils within an educational setting can ensure routine is maintained and a pupil is in a learning environment they are familiar with.
Our tutors can work alongside the teacher to support the child on a one-to-one basis within the classroom or they can carry out one-to-one sessions within a private space at school. Details can be agreed upon request.
We also have a Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) specialist on our team who is available for mentoring and support.

Supporting Local Authorities
Encouraging Outcomes
Edusen Tuition Ltd aim to provide specialist tuition on behalf of the Local Authority to pupils within the following categories:
- Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability (SEND)
- Social Emotional and Mental Health issues (SEMH)
- Vulnerable children and adults
- Pupils who are out of school or refuse to attend school
- Cared for children
- Other children who are disadvantaged or require additional support such as:
those at risk of exclusion or have been excluded temporarily or permanently, young offenders, those with emotional or behavioural difficulties or health issues.
Edusen Tuition Ltd was established specifically to meet the needs of the Local Authorities and Councils, who would seek private tutors to provide their services to students who are most vulnerable. Whilst tutors are available via regular tuition companies, we believe that this category of pupils deserve a specialist tuition company dedicated to them. We are committed to helping and supporting these pupils achieve their potential by ensuring that they can access good quality education, despite any challenges they may face.
When working with the above categories, Edusen Tuition Ltd will follow stringent measures to ensure the highest quality of tuition is taking place and that progress is made. We will ask our tutors for regular feedback on sessions carried out as well as: baseline assessments, Individual Education Plans (IEP) and a monthly report of their sessions to ensure the highest quality tuition is being carried out. We will also carry out feedback sessions randomly and speak to clients, this will enable us to carry out ‘quality control’ of sessions conducted by our tutors.
Together we can make a difference. Let us find the perfect tutor for you.
Supporting the community
We are dedicated to supporting children from all communities and backgrounds. Therefore, we are committing to allocate 20% of all profits to provide extra educational support to the children of the British Armed Forces. Our aim is to enable these children to fill any gaps within their education and subject knowledge, which has occurred due to military moves and deployments. With some children moving schools every two years, we believe this is the best way to support the children of the British Armed Forces who have compromised their education to stay close to serving parents and family members,
Committed To Helping Our Clients Succeed
Our Services

Experienced & qualified
The tutors that we hire are qualified teachers or highly experienced Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) specialists. We carry out a competency based interview to ensure all tutors have the correct skill set to teach pupils with additional needs. We do not accept tutors who do not have SEND based experience. We promote the need for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for our tutors and offer several options to carry this out.

Nurturing
We believe in nurturing the love for learning in pupils and promoting positive behaviour outcomes. We understand the challenges faced by SEND pupils and work with parents/carers/teachers to plan the best approach to ensuring a positive outcome. We seek to encourage those out of education, to reintegrate back into an education setting successfully.

DBS Checked
Pupil safety and safeguarding is of high importance to us, therefore, we ensure that all tutors have an up to date Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. We carry out a competency based interview for each one of our tutors during the recruitment process and we also require tutors to provide two references and proof of identity.

Various Subjects
We have tutors available to teach in all core and non-core subjects from all key stages (EYFS, Primary, Secondary). We also offer college, university and entrance examination tuition such as the 11+. Please get in touch with us with the tuition required and we will be happy to match the perfect tutor to meet your needs.
